1. Start account deletion
Open Profile
In the EASE™ app, open the Profile tab and the account card.
Choose Delete account
Review the data notice, then confirm that you want permanent deletion.
Wait for confirmation
The app signs you out and confirms when its deletion request succeeds. If it reports an error, contact support.
Can’t get into the app?
Tap the button to email us a deletion request. If you can, send it from the email address on your EASE™ account. Never include a password or one-time code.
To make sure nobody deletes an account that isn’t theirs, we may ask you to verify it’s you before we act on an email request. You don’t need to reinstall the app to send one.
2. Information deleted from your account
When your deletion is complete, EASE™ deletes your sign-in account (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase) and removes or clears the records tied to it, including:
- your account-linked comfort preferences and selected social goal;
- your private saved-place list;
- your community reviews and review interactions;
- your account-linked visit-verification evidence; and
- your account’s Community Impact totals.
When you delete from inside the app, you’re signed out as soon as the server confirms the deletion. Uninstalling the app on its own does not delete your account.
3. Information that may be retained
Atmosphere ratings you submitted (like noise or crowd levels) may stay in EASE after you delete your account, with the link to your account removed, so the community’s picture of each place stays useful. Because those ratings still describe a specific place and time, we can’t promise every one is completely anonymous.
Google Place IDs and Ease-owned venue records may remain so that venue atmosphere profiles and the service can continue to function. These records are not your private saved-place list. Google’s current venue details and photos are provider data and are requested as needed; EASE™ does not retain a permanent copy of Google’s full venue database.
We may retain or disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, or maintain service security. Our hosting and database providers may keep protected backup copies for a limited time. Those copies aren’t used for anything in the app and are deleted on the provider’s normal schedule.
4. Timing, confirmation, and exceptions
When you delete from the app, our server checks that you’re signed in and that it can safely complete the cleanup. If the app says it worked, your account has been deleted from EASE’s live systems. If something goes wrong, like a temporary outage, the app will show an error instead. Try again later or contact us.
For email requests, we’ll reply to confirm we got it and let you know if we need anything else to verify it’s you. We’ll complete it promptly and within any deadlines the law sets. If there’s a legal reason we can’t delete a particular record, we’ll tell you why.
Detailed check-in verification evidence is otherwise kept for up to 30 days for an active account and then removed by scheduled cleanup. If you delete your account sooner, the associated evidence is removed with the account. A simple historical Verified Visit label may remain on a review only where that review itself remains in the service.
